RAINBOW FOOL
Although set in no specific time or place, the story is very relevant to the current generation, involving both conflict and environmental disaster.  Two tribes live either side of a river.  Once they co-existed peacefully, but fear and mistrust developed and the bridge which linked them, was broken down.  They live in isolation until a serious drought causes the river to dry up, exposing them to each other and threatening their existence.  At this point the mysterious Rainbow Fool enters.  He is viewed as a clown, a jester and a madman by both tribes, but offers to bring them ‘ their own answer’ to the problems by which they are beset.

This show offers opportunities to develop comedy characters,
the 'Fool', the hunters and the gossips,
alongside a classic good versus evil struggle between
The 'evil' Medicine Woman, Wennefer, and The Mother of the River.

Suitable for a chorus of 12 years and upwards, with the main characters needing to be more senior.
There are solo and chorus numbers, including a small amount of part singing.
